After Tom Ford left Gucci in 2004, the new head designer Frida Giannini IMO brings really new ideas to the House of Gucci. I especially liked the SS 2009.
Then the whole " Gucci goes green " campaing with the T-shirts and the environmental film called Home ( shown beneath ) what is being sponsored by Gucci's parent, France's PPR Group really opened my eyes and changed the way I think about Gucci ^^
Last, the Gucci sneaker shops ( ! ) with the designs of Mark Ronson is something new in the luxury brand scene. Yea I know there are Comme des Garcons pop-up shops and Louis Vuitton / underground/ store but this is a store what is entirely focused on sneakers. Plus I have really liked the models seen thus far.
